I had one lunatic follow me to the economics thread, suggesting I wanted the manufacturing industry to disappear completely, because Im anti subsidys.

The manufacturing industry in 2009-10 had nett tariff assistance of $6.5 billion as well as a couple of billion in various subsidys, the liberal economic pygmies dont have a clue about what is going on in this country.

What the US President failed to tell his audience, however, and also missing from the factory owner's website, is the fact that the technology allowing the batteries to store industrial-sized volumes of electricity was invented and commercialised in Australia.

But so far, not a cent in royalties or licence fees has been paid, or agreed to be paid in the future, by the manufacturers to the inventor or the university where she works which holds the patents.
