If you feel like you can go any time, rather than the cricket being a special event, then it reduces the spectacle factor.
And crowd participation is all but dead. Beer snakes, beach balls, crap food that is way too expensive.
Just watched today's UFC card - much more entertaining way to spend 3 hours than watching cricket, a game I used to love, play and watch religiously.
