I asked for a good deal and got a .01 discount, 2 months later i said i found a better offer from another bank and got a further discount I forget how much but it was much bigger, the total discount is .8 off the official variable rate. If you go in to BS them be prepared they ask you straight away what banks and what they offered you etc. Try for at least .8 discount maybe you can do better but that’s just what I achieved. I still try now and then to do better but haven’t got them to move yet. its a big reward for a quick phone call, just be prepared.
