Production
The Board of New World Alloys Limited (ASX: "NWA") is pleased to advise of the continued strong
production performance during the first two months of the September quarter.
Commenting on the results, Mr David Riekie, Non Executive Chairman said, "Our production for this
period was on target with a total of 510 tonnes of blister copper being produced and we are tracking
well to meet our projected 750 tonnes for the quarter".
"Importantly our production team have successfully developed and trialed a briquetting technique to
utilise smaller particle copper fines as our ore feedstock. This has enabled the operations to utilise
lower cost smaller particle materials in our smelting operations. These programs have successfully
utilised approximately 100 tonnes of briquettes as a supplement to the usual lump copper ore".
Rights Issue
The Board has also resolved not to proceed with the proposed rights issue previously announced to
the market earlier this year as a result of the Company's strong operational performance and resultant
cashflows.
