    I think rule number 1 should be drink what you like and not the label.

    Rule number two is go to a few wineries during harvest and crushing to gain a better understanding of what is involved, have a chat to the vigneron and vintner. Talk about different soils, growing techniques, shade, canopy structure, baume, tonnage etc...

    People only see the end product of food, it’s good to understand the process and where it comes from, you gain a respect for the product.

    (With meat, most consumers wouldn’t know which part of the animal a cut is from, educate yourself)

    Rule number 3 look for more natural wines, it’s easy to pour kg’s of powdered oak flavouring into the crusher.

    Rule 4 Try different climates, Barossa, WA, Gippsland etc..

    Rule 5 refer to rule 1 and enjoy.
