Hi Cara, i am not familiar with the Dan M Coonawarra Cab so can't offer an opinion. Yes JC are owned by Pernod but most big brands are owned by multinational companies. In fact Coles and woollies are dominating this realm.
It doesn't mean that the wine is sh..t but it is made to a price point and as a winemaker I can say that it generally doesn't disappoint at said price point. I firmly believe that wine should be judged on quality vs price and Australia has always over delivered in this regard.
