Yes, it is colder at higher altitudes than at ground level. What I meant was, that as the atmosphere is warmer, then the warmer temperature at high alt. will increase the water holding capacity compared to 200 years ago at the same altitude when it was cooler - so we shouldn't expect more precipitation.
