Pto,
I don't buy on what management 'want me to hear'. Generally I buy on technical indicators and knowing the stock isn't going broke. Thus why I sold MAD already. Will buy again if technicals tell me to though.
To address your points, I've heard several companies use the term 'pure oil'. You are the first person to ever mis-understand it from what I've seen.
Seeing as you have already downloaded all the data and put it into excel, perhaps you wouldn't mind just sharing the file?
I still see a flaw in your EUR numbers, as I think you're assuming a lot using such a simplistic method for EUR. Yes the oil isn't as EASILY recoverable as in 1940 but technology has improved significantly. Look at shale gas, it wasn't even considered economically recoverable in 1980, let alone 1940.
1. Saudi Arabia has 267billion barrels estimated so I hope your jape was a joke or else I might as well stop reading your posts.. The point of increasing reserves, especially in the het-lime formation is simple, outside of the dome itself there is a lot of het-lime formations which have oil shows. They wanted to test these to increase their reserve base, gain knowledge about all their acerage and if they were productive, target areas of acerage which hold these formations in the same dome.
Only the market cares about quick cash, good management add value. Value sometimes can't be seen immediately, but ALWAYS increases share price.
2. all of maverick boling domes wells except dutton were drilled into hetlime. The report specifically says so.
Thus your point is moot. Despite hitting some sandstone, they were specifically targetting hetlime formations outside the salt dome.
3. Nice that I believe a legally binding report that if it were found out they were lying, management would legally be charged with fraud.
Mmm good logic to not believe the report. Perhaps I'll start a company and just tell everyone my copper assays came back at 10% and make a few million then tell them later on I didnt.
It makes sense to get an understanding of exactly what your field holds early on. They have always stated this as the plan. You realise the salt domes are not uniform and drilling wells around the perimeter would give them a greater understanding which would enable the gulf deal to drill with more accuracy. Given that gulf can pull out if wells are not profitable for them, it makes sense to gain the information to make the deal profitable for both parties.
Perhaps you feel you have a greater understanding, if you have proof rather than assumptions I'd show em if you want credibility.
I have read all the contrarian views last few months and agreed they had some points and MAD needed to get its act into gear.. but yours are just blatantly attention seeking
