I was present at the meeting last friday , a more disgraceful display by a director [Dykes ] i have never seen. Fortunately i taped the whole thing and have given copies to the press , Initially he tried to slip his resolution through quickly but a very alert shareholder stopped him in his tracks . then when it came to show of hands he lost approx 96% to 4% he then called for show of hands as reported lost about 72% to 28%. then shareholders on floor demanded appointment of 2 additional independant directors this really upset Dykes .they tried to sack Dykes on the spot but as this was not annual meeting could not be done .Dykes language and performance was unbelivable and un becoming of a director . after the meeting a few of us put a plan up between ourselves for AGM in November but i think it must have got back to him .. at the meeting he assured everyone the company was in great order etc ....On saturday morning he contacted Rentworks the financier told them a pack of lies to worry them so they being preference creditor took the only move avail to them .No doubt Dykes knowing he was out FOR EVER after the AGM decided if he wasnt going to be part of the company in future then no one else was going to be as well........At the meeting the board was divided , Two men of straw Dykes and Milne trying to run the show ......Dykes has no assets his multi million house is in his wifes name and his BMW is leased to the hilt .....Milne lives in melbourne in a rented house ,,,successful men NOT me thinks . I spoke to ASIC and listed a complaint to be told there were many ahead of me . i wrote to TAX re Dykes and mentioned fringe benefits etc , This whole wrought brings back memories of the 80s . If anyone has more stories or complaints please ring week-end financial reporters who i think t are all doing stories this week end .....these ratbag directors should NOT be allowed to RIP
