Proved reserves rate as you define it is like taking a tangent on a parabola and calling it a true trend line. It doesn't work because the rate of change is dynamic, not fixed. So that entire concept is rediculous and you should use reserves in barrels, not time.

Nothing is legally binding about the reserves report, I'm talking about the management is legally bound to report the truth to the best of their knowledge to shareholders. Thus if they say they were drilling on the outside of the fairway targeting het lime formation but were lying as you suggest, it's illegal.

I'd love to know what is the same between now and 1940's considering a lot of drilling fluid and MUDs aren't the same since the 80's let alone the 40's...
Drill rigs certainly aren't the Same.. Drill depth capability has improved significantly.
