I have been informed that my residence is unlikely to ever have fibre access to the NBN and that I will most likely be provided with a wireless service. The newly developed NBN wireless service will run at current ADSL2+ speeds which is much faster than my current Telstra Next G service. A wireless service like that works fine in rural areas like mine but soon slows down due to congestion in urban areas where fibre is the only way to go. Also those on fibre NBN will obtain speeds much greater than wireless or ADSL can deliver. And that is what most people want and are waiting for. It's just a shame the rollout is taking so long.
