Hi Sid - the interesting thing about trading I have found over the years (and when I break the rules, it is often to my peril) is that fundamentals and technicals are great for entry and technicals for exit.
"Never fall in love with the story" should be engraved on everyone's forehead.
If most of us sold into strength, particularly in the blue sky phase of resource companies, I am confident that the majority would be in front. Re the "big kill", there are very very few stocks that are like a SIR, SYR or SFR.
I think it is FOMO (fear of missing out) versus GMMB (get my money back) that keeps people in trades/investments when they shouldn't be in them.
Then you get the boiled and we hear (I will put them into the bottom drawer) HOPE mode.
