On that point I agree entirely! I'd still rather be the guy falling down the cliff face enjoying the ride with wide eyes and acknowledging the inevitable splat than the guy flapping his arms hoping to be able to start flying in time. I suppose not everyone has my aversion to delusion. I suppose for most people it's not delusion, it's more ignorance, which for most is probably best anyway. Either way, we have already jumped off the cliff. If we can buy some time, awesome, but given human nature the splat is inevitable and at this point even preventing the big splat would require a pretty big splat.
