Happy cats I usually find myself agreeing with a large portion if your posts... But that one is just plain naive. I'd argue all 3 of your points are wrong.

Executives are not a place for the faint hearted. Big decisions are absolutely made on emotion and defying rational thinking. If you had the exposure I do on a daily basis to company executives noone would be suggesting that this sell down must be a show of Decreased confidence in the project. Hardly. She's pissed off and getting away from a company she probably wants nothing to do with again.
