Australia's sporting reputation was second to none and has now been internationally slandered with shotgun accusations of massive drug use.

This is all a part of dismantling Australia, Australian values, and the Australian culture. They're well on their way to dismantling small businesses, farmers, border protection, the fishing industry, etc.

Meanwhile, the illegal entry of society-destroying drugs (not to mention illegal weapons) to Australia is facilitated through massive cuts to the Customs budget.

Of course, there's also the fact that it keeps the focus off the unprecedented failures of Labor at government and individual levels.

It would have been nice if the Gillard government had given more resources to helping the victims of national flood and bushfire disasters (over and above the time-wasting photo opportunities). But, I suppose we're not a deserving third world country.
