    Hi pinto...

Yes, I can see why you have deposited this post here. It is very much a lifestyle issue. I form this view as I have no doubt that if we were a few years' back we could possibly be discussing dentists and fluoride in water supplies, and that we would be doing it here as we have discussed blood pressure, supplements, gardening, fishing, hobbies, alcohol and so much more.

I live in an area that has had fluoridated water. (Actually, I'm not up to date with whether it is at present - I think it still is). So, here we have it where something has been added to the water supply....albeit not to make it taste bad to turn us off drinking water! However, what you have discussed in your post is, I agree, more sinister....it is crowd control, IMO, and yes, where does it stop.

One aspect that worries me with all this is that so many things we have always been personally responsible for, are being outsourced. Gradually, citizens are not given the responsibility for being responsible for their own person. This cannot be good. These methods would I'm sure, intimidate those that came through The Holocaust for example. My mind also turns to Thalidomide. Whilst this wasn't a substance which was added to something that the masses may ingest, it was given to pregnant women and touted as 'safe'. Adding substances en masse to widely used products to deter the use to bring society to a standard result, I.e.thinner, etc. leaves open the prospect of a 'mistake' being made about the safety of the additive anytime in the future.

So, getting back to a substance being added to smokes to make them taste bad I cannot agree with this in principle. Mind you I think smokes taste and smell 'bad' anyway and their use should be discouraged. Only
ever tried one....and that was enough for me. And,I certainly agree that this could, in many year's time work it's way through to other areas of our lives to achieve a societal outcome.....very dangerous practice in my opinion.

    Cheers...
    Cazzex
