I agree that Taurus is there to get their initial investment back and make a profit by arranging a sale of AMX.
However the amount they will be seeking in this market will be too high, unless they sell to the Chinese who will build a mine themselves.
If a takeover happens it will not be till the second half of 2013. They can only buy another 3.6% and then they will not be able to support the share price in the face of difficult market conditions. If they were not buying shares the share price would now be around 20 cents. I suppose others are watching them and thinking of buying some for the reasons of you have given.
