Think you're being overly cautious / pessimistic Ves..imho. But each to their own,

The reason I'm prepared to hold onto TGA (besides value) is its resilience against the very cycles you mention....mainly due to the "market space" that Radio Rentals operates in.

Thorn Equipment Finance would be more vulnerable to the economic cycles, but this has yet to mature into being the major bottom line contributor to the group, so any adverse EPS impact from economic cycles is likely to be slight imo. As outlined by management, it is more likely that adverse EPS impact is to come from the efforts to grow TEF. But this is short term pain for long term gain...and hopefully a lot of that short term pain was endured with the SP dive after the half yearly was released.

For TGA to trade for an extended period below $1.60 you would need EPS to dive almost 20%. In my opinion again, this is unlikely, though the market is the market,...I'd be buying the proverbial sh..load if such a price eventuated.

I did some ground level research by going to various Radio Rental outlets to ask staff in a very general way how business was. While they might be expected to talk up the business, and while I may be subject to confirmation bias, the research was reassuring.

The other thing about this stock (and I haven't observed the price action of other stocks over the long term, but it seems that TGA is always trading under the influence / direction of an algorithm...and while I hate posters suggesting their stock are being manipulated, to me it appears very much as though the TGA SP is being "gamed"...maybe I'm just paranoid.

As an aside, haven't read anything from Pioupiou in a long time, hope he's well, miss his posts. Maybe he sold out on the recent volatility. Maybe (with his large holding) he's the Algo... LOL.
