re: what potter didn't say! Guys, I think HDRs decision to drill Guyane alone is INSANE. HDR is still a minnow. They need the technical expertise of an Exxon or BP to help choose leads, interpret seismics, organize drilling etc. With the price of oil as high as it is and a 2.5 billion barrel prospect (Matahata), HDR was in a fantasic negotiating position. Why couldn't they get a good partner?
If none of the oil majors thought it was worth investing in, why should we get excited? I think HDR are putting egos ahead of shareholder value.
