It says 2km from a residential area. In QLD that is further defined as a town with more than 1,000 people.
So unless those wells are within 2km of the outskirts of Casino I cannot see any issue affecting MEL. In fact I would say any company (for example AGL) who considers putting a well within 2km of a residential area when all this flack is hitting the industry, is lead by fools. May be in the future if and when all this hype is proven to be rubbish.
I think this is a good step by BOF. Now on with it boys and girls.
