    That 'famous' speech was the most dishonest piece of politicking in political history.

    It was not, as Labor people like to think, made spontaneously and from the heart.

    It was written in advance, on a phoney premise, and then the situation manipulated to allow her to deliver it.

    The Slipper debate had nothing to do with 'misogyny'. But it was the first opportunity Gillard had to deliver her speech, however flimsy the excuse.

    It was out of context, deceptive and totally wrong.

    McTernan then sent links to the video to his mates in the media around the world and then claimed it had 'gone viral.

    Total bull.

    I'd always been suspicious of Gillard. That day, she lost me for ever.
