    Leeman, I specifically didn't mention hybrids. They do use REE motors, but misterhorsey specifically mentioned electric cars, and they are not using REE motors. Tesla, Nissan, Renault make pure electric cars, and they are all using a/c motors, which don't use REEs. And as I said, Toyota's latest RAV4 hybrid is using that type of motor too.

    Perhaps do some original research, rather than rely upon an industry source for your data?

    Are you a construction engineer too?

    shonks, why else would China control rare earths unless it is too keep the price high? If there was such great demand then they wouldn't be shutting down production. All that supply cut out and still the price doesn't rise.

    As for the new products, as I said Samsung are already producing OLED phones,and Samsung and LG will start TV production this year. These are not technologies in development.
