    I think less and less people are willing to take on huge debts,be it new homes or existing.I understand your point,but whether that puts a floor under existing homes is debateable.Dont forget the incentives thrown at people to go new,and keeps you employed :).
    What this whole scenario tells me,is thinks are getting tighter and tighter.You have a product which numbers arent great(new housing),yet the product is becoming more expensive?Something wrong here dont you think?
