Used to think it was real Chuck but I don't know anymore.
The levels of CO2 in the atmosphere are less than they have been in previous geological periods.
The last ice age apparently came straight after a period of intense warming that changed the balance, maybe of ocean currents, triggering a massive expansion of ice sheets and lowering temperatures world wide.
So ironically by altering and increasing the atmospheric level of carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases we may in fact be bringing on another ice age early.
