From the free dictionary (first one I looked at) "A young person who has undergone puberty but who has not reached full maturity; a teenager." The definition of teenager "A person between the ages of 13 and 19; an adolescent."

So stating that adolescents are under 18 IS TRUE and IS NOT a ridiculous statement. The reason I stated under 18 is that, as you would know, in Australia, once 18, a person is regarded as an adult by law.

Stop trying to get bogged down in definitions and trying to confuse the issue. As the brain is still developing until 21 & 25 in females and males respectively it would be good to keep guns out of their hands till at least this age. I would think 18 to be the minimum to be hunting with a gun.

I am not mixing up brain development and maturity. In all the studies I have read the terms brain development and brain maturity are used interchangeably.

Shooting bunnies...I wonder what else it contributes to??

"Psychological research sponsored by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service has identified a set of values and attitudes called dominionism, which most people have to some degree, but which hunters tend to have at close to twice the degree of nonhunters. Dominionism is essentially the idea that dominating another person or animal is fun. It also surfaces as a primary motive in studies of convicted sex offenders (rapists and child molesters)."
