Beach still have 20% of the Santos shale gas venture. Santos is ramping up spending on cooper basin shale gas to about $ 200 m in one year. Maybe more next year. I don't mind for beach to participate in santos SACBJV shale gas project. It is a definite winner! Infrastructure already in place and oil link gas price to boot! LNG plant ready by 2015. It is important that bpt does not over extend its spending. Grow steadily, year after year. No more doing r&d spending from now on.
