governments make laws, thats what they do...
if the new government wanted the lamp shut down, they would simply make a new law, i.e. "no lamps in malaysia" and boom, the lamp is now illegal and needs to shut down...
cant happen? what did environmental minister tony burke do to the dutch fishing trawler last year? they acquired permits legally, spent lots of money to bring the project to australia, cooperated fully etc... faced lots of public opposition, quashed by tony burke, $0 compensation...
dont fool yourselves, there is real risk in the lamp being shut down by an unfriendly government... IMO, its built into the current price (as stated in the broker reports; the current SP reflects the value of Mt Weld alone, you get the LAMP for free)
