many years ago i watched Bette on the Michael Parkinson show and the subject got around to the weather. she asked if she was allowed to tell a saucy joke on tv Parkie said go for it
She said her neighbours asked how she always managed to read the weather every washing day and know when to hang it out to dry
She said 'well when i wake up i pull the sheets back and check out my mans thingy,if its lying to the left,it will rain.If lying to the right it will be dry and if its straight up,who's stupid enough to do washing ?'
