money doesn't make you happy ... a myth, page-4

"if there has been one comment i have heard from the wealthy throughout my life that makes me cringe in anger is the comment 'money isnt everything'"

I have heard it before - but I don't get hot about it ---- think about the statement.

It is actually true - all they are saying is that it isn't everything.

I know quite a few well heeled people who aren't very happy at all ----------- not because of the money - the money and what it can buy is fine ------- it's the other parts of their life that are stuffed.

And, in some cases they are well heeled because of the missing bits of their life they have been chasing have just by coincidence made them wealthy ------------ but, it didn't bring happiness.

Of course there are others that have money and are happy.

The secret is to know what you want in life as early as possible.

More than often you will find the wealthy who are unhappy have never ever worked out what they want ------- they have lived out their assumptions - and either accidently or on purpose got rich ----------- but they never knew what they really wanted.

That is exactly why you see the difference in the graphs.

The more someone works out what they really want to do ------ and then go and do it - the quicker they are happy - and more often than not, the more money comes their way from the love of doing what they want.

That's the key ----------- money doesn't buy happiness.

Happiness buys wealth.

So, the myth is in fact correct.
