Was watching Discovery Channel this morning and there were 3 guys on a life raft in the ocean. Their ship had been torpedoed and they were adrift for weeks. they were ab;le to catch the odd fish and bird to eat (raw) and sharks were circling in the mini ecosystem they had created.
At one point a Japanese aircraft circled them so they waved and flashed a mirror at the aircraft hoping to be spotted. At last the plane circled and they thought they were saved when suddenly the aircraft let loose with burst of gunfire.
The plane continually circled and shot for what seemed like hours. Bullets were raining down and the life raft was taking hits as the gunfire got closer with each pass of the aircraft.
Eventually when it looked that the gunfire would score a direct hit, the men agreed they had to do something. Stay in the raft or enter the water with sharks circling?
Two stayed in the raft and pretended they were dead and the 3rd jumped into the water with the sharks.
I turned to my son and said, now that's a dilemma with a knowing smile (thinking about the beautiful girl and the gay guy lol)!
