If IDC consolidated now 10 to one, it would be $1. But the number of shares you own drops from 10 to one.

You invested 1$ to buy 10 shares in IDC. It is now worth 1$ and you have one IDC share only post consolidation.

Dilution occurs when someone enters at a lower price via share issues. Your precentage ownership in IDC is now lowered. Think of it as someone having co-ownership of your house at a lower price that you bought it for. Minimum issue? Hell no.
