hip replacement, page-22

Glad everything went well ... so far.

Just a little advice gained from a tennis mate ... about another 5-6 days on from where you are now he made a surprise visit to our tennis game for the drinks and dinner that always follow.

As he gingerly eased himself onto a hi stool (which required him to put his new hip in hyper flexure) it "popped out" ... apparently that is more painful than child birth (so I am told) ... it was gut wrenching to observe and hear ... off in an ambulance in a morphine induced stupor and another 3 days in hospital.

Moral?

Listen very carefully to what your doctor told you about how to sit/stand/sleep for the next few weeks.
