And come to think of it, although the ultramafics are not that hard as rocks go, some of the core that they have shown us includes the typical Fraser Range province garnet-bearing metamorphics. Garnets are one hell of a good, hard abrasive, so they may be getting through quite a few bits, in which case they could be tripping in and out of these fairly deep holes for bit changes once in a while. That all takes time too.
