Imo the shorting that has been going on as been a by product of just simply letting the price slide. They have know with each announcement that Joe public would pile in and buy and so they have sold to them and then taken short positions, knowing it would fall over because they aren't ready to mark it up yet.
The reason _ to pick up as much of the floating supply as possible and accumulate before they decide to mark it up and change the trend.
When will that happen? who knows, depends on when they decide they have their fill and when overall market conditions are conducive to creating a good solid run too.
This is the game! Don't try and predict it, just be ready to jump on it when it happens.
