KF requires fracking. Therefore it is not conventional.

KF is tight gas. Same goes for the Mackeller structure.

Tight sands gas is unconventional natural gas which is difficult to access because of the nature of the rock and sand surrounding the deposit. Because this gas is so much more difficult to extract than natural gas from other sources, hydraulic fracturing and directional drilling is necessary to produce the well.

Unconventional gas is generally produced from complex geological systems that prevent or significantly limit the migration of gas and require innovative technological solutions for extraction. The difference between conventional and unconventional gas is the geology of the reservoirs from which they are produced. There are several types of unconventional gas such as CSG, shale gas and tight gas.
