My prediction for a slight rise in neodymium price had not eventuated, in fact it has decreased based on the recent metal pages charts.
According to metal pages the restart of Baotou production has put downward pressure on prices.
Is this China's new tactic to control the supply and prices? Flood the market with supply and drive the price down?
Thankfully Lynas is profitable at much lower basket prices but if so is likely to have further pressure on Lynas SP.
