The POA was signed and stamped on a Thursday so I'm curious on why Gillard witnessed it at all - IMHO it would be highly unusual for a client to fly a lawyer from Melbourne to Perth and return, specifically to witness a small property settlement POA when it could have been done by a local Chemist, School Teacher etc.
As it was a Thursday, Gillard may have been in Perth on other S&G work as the airfare and travel expenses were not in Blewitt's settlement statement costs.
