IMO the Perth property market is not relevant to more than nine in ten Australians.
Perth is so far removed from the rest of Australia geographically and economically, and it's estimated population of around 1.83 million makes up less than 8% of Australia's total population.
The industries and resulting job wages growth, security etc are a different story in most parts of the eastern states where most people live.
If the Perth market is on fire and likely to double in 7 years, that's great but it may as well be singapore to 9/10 people reading this.
