    Good point zed, however I suspect not a large proportion of property investors will invest in property 5000kms away, and like to be able to keep an eye on it themselves and avoid being screwed by dodgy agents knowing you are not going to check that $1800 plumbing repair they just hit you up for.

    That said there are a couple of guys here at my work who owned/have owned houses in Hedland and Karratha, they were chasing yield this has not come without lots of problems and headaches, partly due to the distance.

    I'm also guessing many reading forum are not interested in investing in property and are interested in the prices of property and where those prices are headed to buy one to live in it. I think this is a valid reason to be interested in discussing property.
