I can understand what you are saying and I would be just as protective about league if union commentators said the same thing.
I didn't take the comments last night (and probably haven't picked up on it before) as bagging union. I too believe that sbw was wasted in union mainly due to union's narrow defensive line. I think the same will happen with Falou. I personally think it is a waste of talent for outside backs to cross over to union as they just don't get the freedom as they do in league. On the other hand, i think NRL halves would be perfect for union. It surprises me that union doesn't target them. Especially considering the relative success that McRae & Branigan had in union compared to their NRL careers.
Anyway, as I said, i too would get the sh&^s if rugby commentators bagged league. I don't watch rugby so i don't know what the commentators say (I have watched Falou play his last 2 games though). And we could go on forever about the merits of both games.
