west2 - Stephen Smith is a worthy Minister but am not sure if he is leadership material.
And he is likely to lose his seat at the next election. How can he defend his seat while at the same time trying to patch together a mortally wounded Labor party?
This would be worse if he becomes PM and then has to go to an early election.
