They simply don't have the answers. That's why Pyne resorted to lying.

It isn't a coincidence that Tony avoids interviews with fair minded journalists.
Tony's time is running out. He's being found out. His game of hiding, with the occasional little simplistic quip, is going to come unstuck under election scrutiny.
Oh, and how surprising to see Tony Jones being blamed for "Parny's" inept performance!
