IMO the market should not like it and nor should anyone else.
Exberliner1 - sorry I didn't respond directly in the other post - but the answer is no, not liking it any more now than I did before.
This result does (almost)illustrate what I was saying - it is far from Wattenberg results.
I know TBE keeps talking up Watternberg results such as APC and NBL. Gave you guys a couple of others to look at that are good Wattenberg results - I believe Niobrara B bench wells and 4,000 ft laterals for BCEI so roughly same as AKK (and these wells have decline curve greater 50% yr 1), they were:
PDCE with 24IP of 517 boepd
PDCE with IP30 of 403 boepd
BCEI with IP30 of 503 boepd
BCEI with IP60 of 394 boepd and 74% oil !! (real nice)
and you have
AKK 24IP 403 boepd and 52% oil.
AKK suddenly is talking gas because I fear the oil number is not what they were predicting - so highlight the over estimate on gas - but its voodoo math on the BOE end result.
I'm taking 500boepd with 75% oil over 500boepd with 50% oil and so far it is not Wattenberg type result (IMO).
The lack of choke notification is interesting though - would like to see that answered.
