What's wrong with reading/viewing the ABC/fairfax if you want left biased opinion? If any media outlet reports news incorrectly they correct the record in my experience. Opinion pieces are just that, opinion. Just like you used to love posting Gratton opinion pieces, plenty of people like to read Bolt or whoever. I almost never agreed with Gratton, in fact sometimes I felt quite angry reading her opinions, but I often read them as it's always good to read the opposing views. Seems not too many lefties are willing to allow the same sort of freedom?
IMO our media is very well balanced and regulated, the individual chooses which sources they want to obtain their news/opinions from.
As for news outlets defaming politicians, i'm yet to see a defamation case against any of our media, except of course for the failed attempt by Craig Thompson. Do you know of any other? Why not?
