As suspected the the figure you quoted was the monthly cash flow deficit (a normal budget cycle related to when the government receipts are received), and wasn't the end of financial year budget "estimated" outcome.
So the current budget deficit is still estimated to be somewhere between $12 to $20b depending on who you listen too.
