When performance shares get allocated they'll be put in the total share pool, therefore lowering the Market Cap, as there are more shares.

But for them to even get the extra shares they have to get to a certain market cap and stay there for 30 consecutive days.

There's no reason I can think of for someone trying to manipulate the system so they don't get the performance shares, but who knows why people do things..

Every time the performance shares get allocated there is dilution, but for the company staff to get there in the first place deserves rewards
