Fair Work Commission rejects penalty rates cut
EMPLOYERS have lost their bid to cut the penalty rates paid to retail and fast food workers, with the Fair Work Commission ruling the evidence presented in support of the proposed cuts was, "at best, limited".
Retailers had sought to cut the penalty rate for Sunday work from 100 per cent to 50 per cent and remove the 25 per cent penalty for evening work.
