isidoro, all attacks in Indonesia are entirely about domestic politics. Only some involve foreigners which brings a higher profile to the attacks and increases pressure on the Indonesian government from abroad. If you put aside the human suffering and look at the political impact, for Indonesia it is all negative, whereas politically it may even be a positive for those foreign governments whose citizens are killed or injured in such attacks. If they wanted to hurt Australia politically, an attack on Australian soil would be carried out.
