If we accept that both the US and France ( as well as Russia and Germany) are acting out of self-interests (I accept the possibility)

And France with a total awareness and comprehension of how hard it is to get anything thru the UN - and they with a veto.......

....then says, fine lets wait on the UN.

....is that not a morally bankrupt position???

Especially in the face of the strong probability of there being WMD???
