Patents protect the company & it does look to be actually expanding the space so it can be seen as a positive step. My "buuuuttt" i guess comes down to while Australia is obviously the home turf & the market does exist, how much weight do big pharma really hold with it ? big for little companies focussed within Australia and specifically targeting that market but Australia next to other countries would be far less revenue foccused & targetted by big pharma their focus is predominantly on the key larger markets US / Europe & as is becoming more evidently clear Asia. Don't get me wrong i think it's great they've locked these down but we are still a country of 20M people against US 300M+, Eu 600M+ Asia 1B+ you get the idea.
